Available file options
Option | Description |
View Metadata | View and update the file's standard and custom attributes. |
Open File and Edit | Open and edit the file from your local environment. |
Delete File | Remove the local copy of the file from your computer. |
Show Revisions | View previously saved file revisions. |
View metadata
Select the Information icon to open the Metadata Panel.
The Metadata Panel allows you to:
View the file's standard and custom attributes.
View ownership and version information.
Update metadata without opening the Asite web application.
Note
To view or edit metadata, the file must be available locally on your device.
Open and edit a file
Select the Open File and Edit icon to open the file in its associated desktop application.
You can edit the file locally and save your changes without accessing the Asite web application.
Delete a local file
Select the Delete File icon to remove the local copy of the file from your computer.
Note
Deleting a file from aDrive Desktop removes only the local copy. The file remains available in the Asite Cloud.
View file revisions
Select the Show Revisions icon to open the Revisions window.
The Revisions window displays previously saved versions of the selected file, allowing you to review earlier revisions.
